The Veterans Club and residents of Cresswind commemorated the 25th anniversary with a Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony at the flagpole in front of the clubhouse. Rosemarie Bower reflected on the events of that tragic day. Rob Plawecki began to ring the bells at 8:46 am., marking the moment of impact into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
On Patriot Day, the nation remembers those who lost their lives on September 11. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed America. Nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airline Flight 93 in Pennsylvannia.
We honor the victims of the attacks, the courage of our first responders, and pay tribute to military men and women who have defended our nation over the past 25 years. We also honor the generations of service members in defense of our nation. At Cresswind, we are proud to live among veterans who served in Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, and countless peacetime missions around the world.
